Like the soft color contrast
The soft contrast of the colors is what I think I like best about this theme. You might consider using that top-left tree sillouhette as a favicon.

Yeah I was going for something easier on the eyes than the old dark background, and did about 5 really stupid designs that included Tux before deciding to try something with more of an "Ubuntu" feel to it. That's when I stumbled on the Gimp tree brushes. The colors have sort of an earthy / camping feel.
I like the icon idea - hadn't even thought about the favicon! I'll have to do that.
