I've confirmed that the new Wii is what is causing my Zoom X6 wireless router to lose all wireless functionality. We went all day without the Asus EEE PC even being turned on and the wireless router still died.
I've tried everything including a firmware upgrade on the router to no avail. Next step: disable the wireless in the router and get a secondary wireless access point.

Following a power cut, we seem to also have a problem with our Wii causing our X6 to not allow wireless connections. Thanks to your blog, we at least have somewhere to start investigating!

I disabled the wireless in my zoom and switched to using a small TrendNet TEW-637AP. I can't say enough good about this little wap. It's about 40% faster than the Zoom ever was, even though all my devices are just Wireless G! I get signal everywhere. It was a great purchase, and pretty cheap.
